Invisible Children
Invisible Children is an organization that helps to fight the war crimes of the LRA and protect the people of Central Africa from the LRA.They help donate money to the villages in order to help them communicate and locate where the LRA is so they can protect themselves. The LRA commits many atrocities including cutting of there enemies body parts and they often abduct innocent children and force them to be soldiers and fight for the LRA. The LRA abduct hundreds of children each year and refuse to agree to any peace talks with the government prolonging the war. Invisible Children was started by a group of kids who decided to visit Africa and met some of the children who had been abducted and heard there horror stories. These kids decided that they needed to do something to help these African kids so they made a documentary about all the things these kids have been forced to do and all the things that they have went through because of the LRA. The kids raised money for the people of Uganda and also got the war more attention around the world, they also organized many protests in Washington D.C. which forced the government to take action. Invisible Children convinced the president to help protect the people of central Africa through money and soldiers. Invisible Children also put an end to night commuting which was when people would have to go into towns to sleep because it wasn't safe to be so secluded at night. They have built a school for the children affected by the war so they can become educated even though they don't have enough money for their education. Invisible Children has also created warning radio towers that track the LRA and alert local security of the LRA. They have gotten the war so much attention that American soldiers have been stationed in Central Africa and are searching for Joseph Kony the leader of the LRA.
